Workshop-July 17, 2012
The Mayor and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Tularosa met in a Workshop setting on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 6:00 P. M. in the Court/Conference Room of the Public Safety Facility located at 609 St. Francis Drive, Tularosa, New Mexico.
Present: Mayor Ray S. Cordova
Trustee Patrick Garcia
Trustee Gloria Sainz
Trustee Fred Tyler
Absent: Trustee Joseph Lueras
Also present was Grants Coordinator Richard Gutierrez and Village Clerk Dianna Brusuelas-Guilez.
Mayor Ray S. Cordova called the Workshop to order at 6:07 P. M. asking that all rise and join him in the Pledge of Allegiance and the Salute to the Flag of the State of New Mexico.
Item presented at the Workshop are the items that will be presented at the Regular meeting of July 18, 2012 which include:
Consideration of Agenda and Consent Agenda
Unscheduled Correspondence and Public Comments
Approval of Voting Delegate and Alternate for the 2012 NMML Annual business Meeting
Consider Habitat for Humanities pay for water only during construction
Joe Lane-Requesting water meter at 130 North East Bookout
Dan Abercrombie-Put Lane on rotation list and accept the dedicated street and alleys
Mayor Cordova-Approval of Temporary Employment Agreement with Susan Flores from July 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012 at $10.00 per hour with no more than 20 hours per week as per Chapter II, Section 20.01, Paragraph E of the Village of Tularosa Employee Personnel Policy
Mayor Cordova-Approval of Temporary Employment Agreement with Patrick Wooten from July 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012 at $9.75 per hour with no more than 20 hours per week as per Chapter II, Section 20.01, Paragraph E of the Village of Tularosa Employee Personnel Policy

Trustee Fred Tyler asked if AT&T and ENMRU paid franchise tax. Village Clerk Dianna Brusuelas-Guilez said no but they could ask Attorney Jeff Rhodes on Wednesday. Trustee Tyler also made a correction to the minutes and asked about travel to a Recycling seminar.
Trustee Patrick Garcia questioned repairs to the Volvo Solid Waste truck.
Village Clerk Dianna Brusuelas-Guilez reminded everyone about the Open House being hosted by HD Supply at the Otero County Co Op building on Railroad Avenue, Thursday July 19th from 12:00 noon to 3:00 P. M.
Mr. James Duran District Ranger for the Sacramento District made a presentation offering his services to Tularosa. Mr. Duran said they could possibly conduct an ATV Safety training or do a field trip for students to learn about the forest. Mr. Duran will contact the village at a later date.
There being no further business to come before the board the workshop was adjourned at 6:55 P. M.
