Workshop-July 15, 2014

The Mayor and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Tularosa met in a workshop setting on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 6:00 P. M. in the Court Conference room of the Public Safety Facility located at 609 St. Francis Drive, Tularosa, New Mexico.

Also present was Richard Gutierrez, Grants Coordinator, Police Chief Charles Wood and Village Clerk Dianna Brusuelas-Guilez.

At 6:10 P. M. Mayor Ray S. Cordova called the workshop to order asking that all rise and join him in the Pledge of Allegiance and the Salute to the flag of the State of New Mexico.

Items presented at the workshop are items that will be presented at the Regular Meeting of July 16, 2014 which include:

Mayor Ray Cordova asked to move Item 17. to 2A so that Mr. Gabriel Cisneros could make his presentation.

Trustee Ronald Cooksey questioned the gas bills in the water fund wondering how many trucks the water fund had. Village Clerk Dianna Brusuelas-Guilez said they had 5 trucks and the gas purchases were what they have always been.

Gabriel Cisneros, Village Lobbyist gave a short presentation on last Fiscal Year's projects.

Ms. Gloria Lopez and Chris Masters representing HELP-NM gave reasons why they were asking for amendments to the current lease with the village. The Board of Trustees agreed to have a work session and consider the amendments and offer a counter proposal if necessary.

The Board of Trustees also discussed the work schedules of the Plant Operators and decided to include the various work schedules in the work session.

Trustee Robert Sainz mentioned that he did a walk through with employees of the Department of Transportation and that they need the fire hydrant on Bosque and the highway moved back.

Trustee John 'Ray' Telles then moved to adjourn with a second from Trustee Ronald Cooksey. The workshop adjourned at 7:30 P. M.
