Workshop-October 15, 2013

The Mayor and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Tularosa met in a Workshop setting on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 6:00 P. M. in the Court/Conference Room of the Public Safety Facility located at 609 St. Francis Drive, Tularosa, N.M.

Present: Mayor Ray S. Cordova
Trustee Ron Cooksey
Trustee Gloria Sainz

Absent: Trustee Patrick Garcia
Trustee Fred Tyler

Also present was Grants Coordinator Rick Gutierrez and Monica Voorbach Payroll Accounts Payable Clerk.

Also absent was Village Clerk Dianna Brusuelas-Guilez.

At 6:00 P. M. Mayor Ray S. Cordova called the meeting to order asking that all rise and join him in the Pledge of Allegiance and the Salute to the Flag of the State of New Mexico.

Items presented at the Workshop are the items that will be presented at the Regular Meeting of October 16, 2013 which include:

Consideration of agenda and consent agenda
Unscheduled Correspondence
Rick Gutierrez-Award engineering contract to Bohannan Huston for water system improvements
Kody Sparks-Permission to drill a well on our property Bk 1212 - Monterey Additional
Old Business
New Business
Adjourn

First to appear before the Mayor and the Board of Trustees was Senior Center Director Prestina Chavez with a recommendation to hire Diana Ortega in the position of Assistant Cook. Ms. Chavez said the date of hire would be October 17, 2013 at $9.00 per hour and hoped she would have board support.

Trustee Ronald Cooksey asked for an update of the building at 608 Fresno. Mr. Rick Gutierrez said he was waiting to hear from the state.

There being no further business to come before the board the workshop adjourned at 6:15 P. M.
