Workshop-September 14, 2010
The Board of Trustees of the Village of Tularosa met in a Workshop setting on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 6:00 P. M. in the Court/Conference Room of the Public Safety Facility located at 609 St. Francis Drive, Tularosa, New Mexico.

Also in attendance was Monica Voorbach A/P Clerk and Richard Gutierrez Grants Coordinator.
Mayor Ray S. Cordova called the Workshop to order asking all to rise and join him in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Items presented at the Workshop were items that will be presented at the Regular Meeting of September 15, 2010.

Approval of Temporary Employment Agreement with Joshua Puckett from October 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010 with no more than 20 hours per week at $7.50 per hour as per Chapter II, Section 20-01, Paragraph E of the Village of Tularosa Personnel Policy
Approval of Temporary Employment Agreement with Susan Flores from October 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010 with nor more than 20 hours per week at $10.00 per hour as per Chapter II, Section 20-01, Paragraph E of the Village of Tularosa Personnel Policy

A concerned citizen brought up a safety issue next to 1108 St. Francis Drive where
the owners of El Arbolito are hanging blankets and posters obstructing the view from the highway. He was advised to call the police and have the officer see if it is obstructing and they can talk to the owners of El Arbolito.
Trustee Gloria Sainz also brought up a property with a trailer on 6th street between the Blazers and the Durans, the trailer is being used for storage and there are weeds growing all around there.
Trustee Fred Tyler brought up passing an ordinance demolishing buildings.
Trustee Gloria Sainz wondered about the water line on Pillar Chavez Lane.
Trustee Fred Tyler asked about the water bill for Amanda Diaz. Trustee Gloria Sainz responded that she was still waiting for a response from the owners of Las Rosas Apartments.
Monica Voorbach told the members of the Board that she had gone out to bid for surplus items.
Trustee Fred Tyler spoke about the alleyways on Peach, Apple and Cherry Avenues stating that residents had taken property on the alleyways and built fences etc on property that was not theirs. Trustee Tyler said something needs to be done because it is village property taken by private individuals and not being taxed. Mayor Cordova said Attorney Jeff Rhodes needs to write a letter and he will get a list of the residents.
Trustee Fred Tyler moved to adjourn the Workshop. Motion was seconded by Trustee Gloria Sainz.
There being no further business to come before the board the workshop adjourned at 6:45 P. M.
