Chief of Police

The Village of Tularosa is looking to hire a Chief of Police. We are looking for someone who is responsible for planning, overseeing, and directing the activities, operations, and personnel of the department.

Job Description:
To provide effective evaluation, direction, and supervision to specific staff; developing and supervising work schedule of employees to achieve adequate coverage and control. The duties of the Chief of Police also involve providing the right training policies, procedures, and operations to staff. They must ensure work is organized, prioritized, scheduled, and assigned to employees to meet the objectives of the department and ensure that employees are provided with the necessary resources to be able to complete assigned tasks effectively.

This is a salaried position and rate of pay will be discussed during interview. Full-time Animal Control Officer

The Village of Tularosa is looking for a Full-time Animal Control Officer. Starting rate of pay is $14.50hr. Hours are from 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday. Applicant must become euthanasia certified and willing to euthanize dogs and cats. We will provide all training necessary. Please contact the Tularosa Police Department if you are interested. Full-time Dispatcher / Tele-communicator

The Tularosa Police Dept. is looking to hire a full-time dispatcher/telecommunicator. You do not have to be certified, but you will be required to complete a three week course to become certified within one year of hire date. Pay rate is $15.00hr.
